Brick by Brick: Awesome Ideas for LEGO Games

Added: 28.03.2013 15:19 | 20 views | 0 comments

Lego City Undercover is about an undercover cop chasing down criminals in Lego City, but instead of firefights and interrogations, crimes are solved and stopped in typical LEGO video game fashion: platforming, puzzle solving, and police brutality. Well not so much brutality, but breaking a criminal into pieces is pretty violent when you think about it. This latest game in the series got us thinking about other LEGO games weve enjoyed in the past, going as far back as LEGO Island and LEGO Racers, and as recent as licensed series games like LEGO Star Wars and LEGO Lord of the Rings. And then we really got thinking about some LEGO games that would be cool to play in the future. So lets brick out our thinking caps! From HalfBeard's HUD.

LEGO City Undercover Review [Nintendo Enthusiast]

Added: 26.03.2013 19:18 | 19 views | 0 comments

NE: LEGO City Undercover is huge, hilarious, relatively good looking, and above all, stupendously fun. I havent even really covered the insane number of collectibles, hidden jumps, collision-block multipliers, or how regular blocks begat Super Blocks, which are now married to the new Super Builds. Undercover is a good-natured mutt that begs to be loved, and youd do well do give it a chance.

Talking Point: The Download or Disc Dilemma

Added: 26.03.2013 8:18 | 20 views | 0 comments

In moving from the Wii Shop and DSi Shop to the Wii U eShop and 3DS eShop, Nintendo has shown a desire to compete head on with the Xbox, PlayStation and Steam online marketplaces and offer full retail downloads. It's amazing to think that downloads from the Wii Shop were limited to a meagre maximum of 40MB, yet now we can download LEGO City Undercover from the Wii U eShop at a hefty 19GB. A perfect illustration of the company's enthusiasm for the idea came in today's European download update, which included six retail titles seven for those that classify Code of Princess as a download retail title, though it won't be available in stores in the region. Not only that, but some of these releases have tempting, reduced prices to compete with the discounts found on the high street.

Lego City Undercover Review | Gamer Limit

Gamer Limit: "Undercover is basically another LEGO game. Although it could have done a lot to sway non-fans like LEGO Batman 2 did, it sticks to preset conventions far too often, and doesnt take nearly enough risks. A truly open world LEGO adventure would have been one for the books, but that doesnt make Undercover a lost cause."
